Offshoots Academy’s Privacy Policy

Offshoots Academy by Tuber Productions Pte Ltd (“Offshoots Academy”) places great importance on the confidentiality, privacy and protection of your personal and transactional data. Offshoots Academy handles all personal data in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (No. 26 of 2012) (“PDPA”) and the subsidiary legislation made thereunder, and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). By participating in workshops conducted by Offshoots Academy, you hereby give your consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described below.

1. Collection and Usage of Personal Data:

You understand that Offshoots Academy may collect and use your personal data such as your name, contact information, and any other information provided in pre- and post-workshop surveys, for the following purposes:

• To process your registration for the workshop
• To administer and facilitate your participation in the workshop
• To obtain feedback on your workshop experience and improve future workshops
• To respond to any queries, requests or reports you may have submitted
• To contact you regarding updates, news, and information about upcoming workshops or related activities conducted by Offshoots Academy
• To enable any third parties to perform any of the above where necessary and/or applicable, including but not limited to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, business partners, affiliates, suppliers and subcontractors
• To post testimonials (with your consent). Prior to posting a testimonial, we will obtain your consent to use your name and testimonial
• Any other purpose for which you have provided the information

If we intend to use your personal data for any purpose not listed above, we will notify you of this purpose and obtain your consent, unless otherwise prescribed by any applicable law.

2. Disclosure of Personal Data

You acknowledge that Offshoots Academy may disclose your personal data to the following parties, solely for the purposes stated above:

• Offshoots Academy’s affiliated entities, partners, or third-party service providers involved in organising or conducting the workshops
• Third parties involved in the production of promotional materials or publications related to the workshops, including the use of photographs or videos taken during the workshops for publicity purposes

3. Use of Photographs and Videos:

You understand and agree that Offshoots Academy may use photographs and videos taken during the workshops, which may include your likeness, for promotional and publicity purposes. This includes the use of such materials in Offshoots Academy’s publications, website, social media channels, and other promotional materials.

4. Purpose Limitation:

You acknowledge that your personal data will only be used for the purposes stated in this privacy policy and will not be further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes, unless required or permitted by applicable laws.

5. Data Retention:

You understand that Offshoots Academy will retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations.

6. Data Transfer:

In respect of the transfer of data to third parties, we will do so only with your consent and ensure that your personal data is transferred to recipients who are legally bound to uphold strong data protection standards and to comply with applicable data protection laws and this privacy policy. We generally do not transfer your personal data to countries outside of Singapore. However, if we do so, we will obtain your consent for the transfer to be made and we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.

7. Data Security:

You understand that Offshoots Academy has implemented reasonable security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

8. Individual Rights:

You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data held by Offshoots Academy. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data.
